Desde niños en brazos hasta jóvenes de 14 años participan en las actividades programadas durante 1 hora diaria para aprender el alfabeto, practicar matemáticas o leer un libro en ingles, aunque también se les hace actividades en español. Después de estudiar, Salvation Army les ofrece almuerzo gratis a los niños menores de 18 años. Jenna, trabajadora de United Way, comenta que al terminar Salvation Army con el almuerzo llegan los trabajadores del departamento de educación y recreación para divertir a los niños con juegos en las horas de la tarde. “Los niños terminan los viernes felices y nosotras también. Ese día se les da el libro con el morral y una comida para una familia de 4 personas que es regalado por Willmar Area Food Shelf. Son alrededor de 30 niños los que participan en cada lugar “Dice Jenna. Este programa es totalmente gratis para la comunidad, actualmente están visitando: Dana Heights 10:30-11:15 am, Ragency West 11:30-12:15 pm y Regency East 12:30-1:15 pm. Este programa terminara a mediados de Agosto con la entrega de morrales con útiles escolares para aquellos que participaron durante las actividades de verano.
